Manual therapy is a part of manual medicine performed by a therapist.
Physiotherapy is a treatment method which promotes, maintains and restores the movement and functionality of the body. Treatment is oriented towards the complaints and the restriction of function, movement and activity of the patient as determined during the physiotherapy examination. The therapist will use diagnostic and clinical-based experience, as well as manual skills. In some cases, additional natural physical stimuli, known as „physical therapy“, may also be used (e.g. heat, cold, pressure, radiation, electricity).
Treatment follows the anatomical, physiological, psychological and cognitive situation of the patient.
